4 photo booth prints, passport.
New laws in germany established a new standard for passport headshots, a “biometric” passport:
- no caps/hats,
- no smiling,
- no hair obscuring the face,
- eyes open.
Sitting down in a photo booth that featured biometric photos in their advertisement, i took 4 photographs, each with an “error” and digitally merged parts from every picture to create a formally “correct”, but forged composite.
The source images, and the passport containing the composite photo were shown together at Trinitatiskirche, Cologne.
